Wall Oven Repair in Houston
We repair Dacor single and double wall ovens, including Modernist, Contemporary and older Renaissance and Discovery models. If it heats poorly, shows a code or has a bad door, we test it first and explain the cause.
Common wall oven problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Oven will not reach the set temperature
Food bakes unevenly or burns on one side
Door hinge feels loose or will not close
Display goes dark or shows a code
Self-clean cycle stops partway through
Convection fan is noisy or silent
Dacor wall ovens come as single and double units, with convection in most lines. The current Modernist and Contemporary ovens sit beside older Discovery, Renaissance and Millennia models that people have kept for 15 or 20 years. Each has elements, sensors, a fan, a door lock and a control board that must work together.
In Houston, humid air can reach the wiring and control board through vents behind the oven, and heat from daily cooking wears on door gaskets and hinges. Storms and power surges can also harm electronic controls, even when the oven seemed fine the day before.
We check the temperature, the elements, the sensor, the fan and the door seal first. For an older, out-of-warranty oven we give honest advice on whether a repair is worth it, and we tell you plainly when a part is hard to find.

Why is my wall oven not heating?
A bake element, a sensor, a control or a door lock can each stop the oven from heating. A cold oven does not tell us which. We test the element and the sensor first, since those are the most common.
Is it safe to use the self-clean cycle on an older oven?
Self-clean gets very hot and can stress old controls or door locks. If your oven is more than 10 years old and shows trouble, ask us first. We check the door lock and the seal before you use it.
Can you repair a built-in wall oven without removing it?
Often yes. Many parts can be reached from the front or by sliding the oven out a little. If it must come fully out of the cabinet, we explain that and the risks first.
