The Dacor ER48D is an out-of-production Epicure range, 48 inches wide, with two ovens. It is sold as the ER48DSCH and ER48D-C. A range this wide is usually the centerpiece of a serious kitchen, and owners are often unwilling to replace one that still works well.

Does a problem in one oven mean both need repair?
Usually not. Each oven has its own sensor and heating parts, so one can fail while the other works. We test them one at a time and repair only what has failed.
Why do you ask me to clear space in front of the range?
The range is heavy and wide, so it must be drawn out from the wall before the gas and power connections can be reached. Open floor in front makes that safe and keeps the finish unmarked.
Do older Epicure ovens still hold their temperature?
Many do. If one does not, we test the sensor, the heating part, and the control to see which has failed before suggesting any part.
