What C-30 means
If a Dacor DOP range (DOP48T960GS, DOP48C96DLS) or the DOP30T940IS induction range shows C-30, the sensor that watches the temperature of the main control board shows an open or shorted circuit whenever the oven is running. The control watches its own board temperature to protect the electronics, and without a valid reading it cannot do that. The oven may stop heating until the code is cleared.
Common causes of C-30
- The temperature sensor on the control board
- The connector that carries the sensor signal
- The control board itself
1. Rotate the mode knob to Off, then fire up the range again. 2. If C-30 appears again, cut power at the breaker for 30 seconds or longer, then restore it. 3. If the code stays, leave the oven off and reach out and we will schedule a visit.
- The sensor sits on the control board, so the question is whether the sensor, its connection or the whole board needs attention, and we test before we replace.
- We put the price in writing first, so you decide before any work begins.
- If the code appears only after long cooking, tell us, because heat can matter.
Other Range codes
What is C-30 on my Dacor range?
The control board's own temperature sensor shows an open or shorted circuit during cooking. The control uses this reading to protect itself, so the range may stop heating.
Is C-30 the same as C-31?
No. C-30 means the board sensor itself reads wrong. C-31 means the board temperature is actually unusually high.
Will a restart fix C-30?
It sometimes clears a brief glitch. If C-30 returns, the sensor circuit has a real problem, and we test it.
Still seeing C-30?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
