The Dacor DTG36P875N is a 36-inch Transitional gas cooktop with five burners. The center burner is a 19,000 BTU dual-valve SimmerSear burner, and the cooktop has Wi-Fi so it can connect to a matching hood or an app. It is available for natural gas and for LP.
This one needs two kinds of checks. On the gas side, we test the dual-valve center burner at both its high and low settings, then the igniters and cap seating on the other burners. On the Wi-Fi side, we look at whether the cooktop is connected to your home network and whether a router change has broken the link. If the hood connection drops, we check both ends before blaming either one.

What does dual-valve mean on the center burner?
It means the burner is controlled by two valves, one for high heat and one for low. If simmering is poor but searing is fine, the low-heat side is the one we test first.
The cooktop lost its link to my hood. What do we check?
We check that the cooktop and the hood are both on your Wi-Fi network, that the router has not changed, and that each can reconnect. Many dropped links come from a network change, not from a broken part.
Can I use the cooktop if Wi-Fi is down?
Yes. The burners are controlled by their knobs, so you can cook without the connection. Wi-Fi adds convenience, such as a link to the hood, but a dropped link does not stop the gas burners from working.
