HDPR48S
Dacor HDPR48S Large Pro Range Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Oven door seal or latch that has worn
- Convection fan that rattles
- Self-clean cycle that stops before it finishes
- Burner that does not stay lit
The Dacor HDPR48S is the 48-inch member of the Heritage Pro family with the HDPR30S and HDPR36S. It has six burners and a convection, self-cleaning oven, and it relates closely to the HDPR48 and the HDER48S. Because it is so large, it is a range that dominates the kitchen, and owners usually do not want to lose it.
Weight and size shape the visit. We take time to clear space and pull the range forward carefully to reach the gas and power connections, since a mistake there is costly. Then we test the pieces that fail most often on large Heritage Pro ranges: the door seal and latch, which wear from years of heavy use, the convection fan, which can rattle, and the self-clean cycle, which asks a lot of the lock and controls. A burner that will not stay lit gets a clean and a flame test.
The data label separates the HDPR48S from the HDPR48 for us. If a part is scarce or too costly to be sensible, we say so before work starts. Expect a written price first and a 30-day warranty on workmanship.

Why do you pull a large range forward for repairs?
The gas line and the power connection are behind it. We pull it out carefully to test them and to reach parts that are not accessible from the front.
My oven door does not seal well. Does that matter?
Yes. Heat escapes through a worn seal, so the oven is slower and uneven. Replacing the seal or adjusting the latch is often a modest repair.
What is the HDPR48S compared with the HDPR48?
They are related 48-inch Heritage Pro ranges with different numbers. Because parts may not interchange, we read the label on your range and match parts to the exact model.
