The Dacor RNTT365GB is a 36-inch Renaissance drop-in gas cooktop with touch controls instead of knobs. Each burner has its own display, and the clock display shows messages when something is wrong. Propane owners will have the RNTT365GBLP. Dacor no longer makes it.
A cooktop with electronic burner control behaves differently from a knob cooktop, and so do its problems. If a burner fails to light three times, the control locks that burner out for safety. A lock-out that will not reset, or one that locks every burner at once, tells us the control or its sensing is involved and not just a dirty igniter. We start by cleaning and drying the burners, then work through the igniters, the control board and the displays.

Why does my burner lock out after failing to light?
The control is built to shut a burner off after three failed ignitions, so gas does not keep flowing. Wet or dirty igniters often cause the failures. We clean and dry them, then test the control.
My cooktop says a message on the clock display. What do I do?
Write down what the display shows and turn the cooktop off at the breaker for a few minutes. If the message returns, call us. We read it and test the control, burners and sensing.
Is the RNTT365GBLP a different cooktop?
It is the LP version of the same cooktop, set up for propane. The label shows your gas version, and we check it against your supply before we adjust the burners.
