What F8 means

F8 on the Dacor DOP30T940IS induction range cooktop is a lost link. The induction main board can no longer talk to the left inverter board, and the exchange between them has been interrupted. The inverter board drives the left-side burners, so without that link those burners cannot heat. The cooktop shows F8 and the affected burners stay off until the link returns. Burners on the other side may still work normally.
