RNO230
Dacor RNO230 Double Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Oven that stays dead after a power surge
- Latch motor that stalls
- Oven light sockets
- Upper versus lower cavity heat
The RNO230 is a 30-inch double Renaissance wall oven, discontinued, and also sold as the RNO230B, RNO230C and RNO230S. It has two self-cleaning cavities. Where one stays in service, it is usually because it was installed well and nothing has made the owner replace it.
A power surge can leave one oven dead while the other works, which tells us the damage is in a cavity’s own parts, such as a relay or a sensor, and not in the whole control. Latch motors that stall are another common call, and so are oven light sockets that have burned. We check all three, cavity by cavity.
Because Renaissance parts are scarce, we use the label’s model and serial to confirm what can be ordered before we quote. The price is written, and our repair is covered for 30 days.

Error codes this model can show
One oven in my RNO230 died after a storm. Can it be saved?
Maybe. We check the dead cavity's relay, sensor and wiring for surge damage, and tell you before ordering anything whether the board itself must be replaced. A surge sometimes harms just one small part.
What is the oven light socket problem?
The socket can burn or loosen from heat, so a new bulb does not light. We replace the socket and check the wiring behind it.
Why does my latch stall?
The latch motor wears out after years of self-clean cycles. We test the motor and switch, and replace the motor if it is the cause.
