Dacor MCS127 Single Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Safety lockout that will not turn off
  2. Reverse air flow convection fan
  3. Self-clean door lock
  4. Bake element and sensor

The Dacor MCS127 is a 27-inch single electric wall oven in the Millennia line, with 3.4 cubic feet of self-cleaning convection. It is also sold as the MCS127S and MCS127B. A 27-inch single oven fits smaller built-in towers, so we commonly see it where the opening was sized for that width.

Its safety lockout is the feature most owners ask about. If the oven seems dead, with a display on but no response, the lockout may be on, and sometimes it will not release. We check the lockout before looking at the control board. Next is reverse air flow, where the convection fan changes direction. The fan motor and the control that switches it are worth testing if baking is uneven.

We confirm the model and serial from the label, check that the part is available and give you a written price. Older Millennia parts can be scarce, and we tell you if one cannot be found.

MCS127MCS127 questions
The MCS127 seems dead but the display is lit. Why?

The safety lockout may be on. We check the lockout first, then the control. If it will not release, the keypad or board may be the cause.

What is reverse air flow?

It means the convection fan changes direction during cooking. If food cooks unevenly or the fan sounds wrong, we test the fan motor and the part that reverses it.

Does the oven's self-clean lock cause trouble?

It can. If the door stays locked after a clean, we test the latch motor and switch. Wait for the oven to cool fully before trying the door.
