Out of production now, the MCD230 came from Dacor’s classic Millennia MCD series as a 30-inch double wall oven. Its ERC control handles both the upper and lower ovens, so a single control ties the two cavities together. That is why one problem can look like two.
A harness between the control and the lower oven is a place where wear shows up, because wires that flex and heat for years can crack. Another is a memory error that appears after a self-clean cycle. Door lock alarms are the third check we make. We test each of these with the power off before recommending a part.

Yes. Harness wires near the oven wall can crack with heat and flexing. We test continuity and replace the damaged section when it is the cause.
What do door lock alarms mean?
The control did not get a confirmation that the lock moved. We test the lock motor and switch. Let the oven cool before anyone tries the door.
