Dacor HPCT365GS Heritage Pro Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Illuminated burner controls that stay dark
  2. A SimmerSear burner that cannot keep a gentle flame
  3. Re-ignition that clicks constantly or not at all
  4. Igniters that are worn or dirty

The Dacor HPCT365GS is a 36-inch Heritage Pro gas cooktop for natural gas or LP. Its features include Illumina burner controls, a SimmerSear burner of up to 18,000 BTU and Perma-Flame re-ignition, which relights a burner after its flame blows out. The same cooktop was also sold as the HCT365GS.

Each of those features gives us a specific place to look. If the Illumina controls stay dark, we check the lighting and its power connection. If the SimmerSear burner will not hold a low flame, we clean its ports and test its valve at the low setting. If re-ignition clicks constantly, the igniter or cap seating is usually the cause. We keep these checks separate so that one repair does not mask another.

Heritage Pro cooktops are older now, and we still repair them. Tracking down parts comes before any promise from us, and we say so if the work is not worth doing. The label gives the exact number and serial. A written estimate comes first, and the repair is covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.

HPCT365GSHPCT365GS questions
What does the Illumina feature do?

Illumina is the name for the lit burner controls on this cooktop. If they stay dark while the burners work, the lighting or its connection is the problem and not the gas side.

What is Perma-Flame re-ignition?

It is the feature that sparks a burner again if its flame goes out. Constant clicking can come from a dirty igniter or a cap that is not seated, so we check those first.

Why will my SimmerSear burner not stay lit at low heat?

Look first at clogged ports, a draft or a worn valve. We clean the burner, check the cap and test the valve at its lowest setting.
