Dacor HGPR30 Heritage Pro Gas Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Dual-stack burner that will not simmer low or ignite
  2. Oven burner that lights slowly
  3. Convection fan noise
  4. Self-clean door lock that stays shut

The Dacor HGPR30 is a Heritage Pro all-gas range, 30 inches wide, with a 5.2 cubic foot self-cleaning oven and three-part convection. Its dual-valve, dual-stack burners cover a very wide range, from an 800 BTU simmer up to 18,000 BTU. The natural gas version is HGPR30S/NG, and the liquid propane version is HGPR30S/LP, with only a 120V, 15A supply needed.

Dual-valve, dual-stack burners are the interesting part for service. They have two sets of flame ports and two valves, one for the high flame and one for the low simmer, so a burner that will not simmer low can have a problem in the low valve or the small ports. We clean the ports carefully and test each stage of the burner. Elsewhere, we check how fast the oven burner lights, since a weakened igniter is a common reason an all-gas oven is slow.

The convection fan and the self-clean lock get tested with the oven cool. The model and serial come from the data label. The range is current, which helps, and we still confirm each part before repair. You will have a written price first, and the workmanship carries a 30-day warranty.

HGPR30HGPR30 questions
My burner will not simmer low. What is wrong?

This burner has separate high and low stages. If the low flame will not hold, the small ports may be clogged or the low valve may need attention. We clean and test both before suggesting a part.

Why does an all-gas range need electricity?

Igniters, controls, and the convection fan are electric, and this range uses a 120V, 15A supply for them. If nothing lights, we check power first.

What do the NG and LP versions mean?

NG means natural gas and LP means liquid propane. The range must be set up for whichever one is connected, and we confirm that from the label before touching any burner.
