Dacor HDPR36 Dual-Fuel Pro Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Oven that is slow to heat or holds the wrong temperature
  2. Burner that sparks without lighting on the wide cooktop
  3. Convection fan trouble in the electric oven
  4. Fuel setup that does not match the supply

The Dacor HDPR36 is a 36-inch Heritage Pro dual-fuel range with a 5.2 cubic foot professional oven. Six gas burners across the top are rated at two at 18,000 BTU and four at 15,000 BTU. It is sold as HDPR36S/NG for natural gas and HDPR36S/LP for liquid propane.

This is the size that most Heritage Pro owners choose, and the six burners make it a good range to compare against itself. If one burner is slow to light, the other five show whether the cause is local. The oven is electric, so heat problems send us to the bake element, the temperature sensor, and the control, plus the 240V supply behind them. Dual-fuel ranges can fail on either side, and it is common for the oven to be perfect while a burner needs attention, or the other way around.

Before we order anything, the data label gives us the model and serial. Parts are generally easier to find for a current model, but we confirm each one before the repair. The written price arrives before the work, and our workmanship has a 30-day warranty.

HDPR36HDPR36 questions
What is the difference between the two 18,000 BTU burners and the 15,000 BTU ones?

The 18,000 BTU burners are the higher-output ones for searing and boiling, while the 15,000 BTU burners are for general use. We clean and test each type the same way.

My oven heats slowly but the burners are fine. Why?

The oven is electric, so the burners and the oven are independent. We test the bake element, sensor, and 240V supply, and tell you which part has failed.

Are Heritage Pro parts still available?

Many are, since this is a current model, though availability changes from part to part. We confirm each part before starting so you know the cost in advance.
