EORD230
Dacor Renaissance EORD230 Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Lower oven temperature sensor
- Overheat shutdown during self-clean
- Control response after a control board replacement
- Door latch and lock for each cavity
The EORD230 is a 30-inch double wall oven from the Renaissance family of Dacor’s EOR series. It is no longer made, and it is the kind of older model we are glad to see still working. Houston owners often keep these ovens for the cabinetry around them as much as for the cooking.
Each cavity reports its own status, with separate displays for the upper and lower oven. That helps us, because we can tell which oven is complaining before we remove anything. The checks that come up most often on this model are the lower oven sensor, an oven that shuts off in the middle of a self-clean cycle and the door lock for each cavity.
Renaissance parts are getting scarce. We read the model and serial from the label, confirm availability and then give you a written price. If a control or board cannot be found, we say that before you spend anything.

Why does my lower oven shut off during self-clean?
An overheat shutdown can come from a sensor reading too high, a relay that stays closed or a cooling fan that is not moving air. We test the sensor first, then the relay.
Can the upper and lower ovens be repaired separately?
Yes. Each has its own sensor, elements and lock, so we repair the affected cavity and test the other to make sure it is sound.
What if a new control board does not fix it?
That happens when a sensor or wiring problem sits behind the board. We test those before replacing the board, which lowers the chance of buying the wrong part.
