MOH130

Dacor MOH130 Single Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Discovery Controller display and key response
  2. Pure convection fan and its heating element
  3. Self-clean door lock and latch
  4. Bake element and temperature sensor

Dacor’s MOH130 is a single electric wall oven, 30 inches wide, from the Discovery series. Discovery wall ovens come in 27- and 30-inch widths under the EO, PO, MOV and MOH prefixes, and all of them run on a 240-volt supply. The 130 at the end of this number points to one oven cavity.

Its Discovery Controller sets the mode, the temperature and the clean cycle, so it is where we start when a setting is ignored or the display misbehaves. If food cooks unevenly, the pure convection fan and its element come next, and after a self-clean we look at the door latch. Slow preheating usually leads us to the bake element or the sensor.

Discovery ovens are older now, and a few of their parts are hard to find. Before anything is ordered we copy the whole model and serial from the data label, then confirm the part exists. The price is written out ahead of the work, and we say so if the oven is better replaced.

MOH130MOH130 questions
What does the Discovery Controller do on an MOH130?

It sets the cooking mode, the temperature and the clean cycle, and it displays them. When keys stop answering or the display dims, we test the controller connection and the supply before suggesting a replacement.

Is a 30-inch MOH130 the same as an EO130 or PO130?

The cutout is shared across the Discovery family, but parts are matched by the exact number. We read the label first so the element, latch or controller we order fits your oven.

The oven will not heat even though the display works. Why?

The display and the heating elements are powered separately. We check both legs of the 240-volt supply, then the bake element, the relay and the sensor, in that order.
