What C-F2 means
On a current Dacor wall oven such as the DOB30P977S, C-F2 tells you communication between the Main board and the Touch control was interrupted. The touch panel you press and the board that runs the oven are no longer talking to each other, so the oven shows C-F2 and may stop responding to the display. The owner's manual lists a restart first.
Common causes of C-F2
- A loose or damaged connection to the touch control
- A touch control that has stopped communicating
- A Main board that is not answering the touch panel
1. If the display responds, press OFF and try the oven once more. 2. If it does not respond, or C-F2 returns, turn the oven's breaker off for half a minute or more. 3. Switch the breaker back on. 4. If the touch panel stays dead, give us a call.
- The display shows only that the link is lost, so we test the touch control, the Main board and the cable between them.
- If the touch panel is damaged, the oven may be unusable until it is replaced.
- The price is agreed in writing first, and our 30-day workmanship warranty covers what we repair.

What causes code C-F2 on my Dacor oven?
The Main board and the Touch control are no longer communicating, so the oven shows C-F2 because it cannot exchange signals with the panel you use to set it.
Why will my oven not respond to the touch panel?
With C-F2 the panel and the main board are not talking, so presses may do nothing. The restart and power reset in the owner's manual are worth trying once before you call.
Do I need a new touch panel for C-F2?
Not always. The cause may be a connection or the Main board instead. We test the link first, so we replace only what actually needs it, and you see the price in writing.
Still seeing C-F2?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
