MCS130
Dacor Millennia MCS130 Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Control watchdog alarm that shuts the oven down
- Open temperature sensor that makes the oven seem dead
- Door lock alarms
- Clock and keypad condition
The MCS130 is a 30-inch single wall oven in the classic Millennia MCS series, discontinued for a long time. The stainless version is the MCS130S, and the black one is the MCS130B. If you still own one, it has been cooking for many years, and we are happy to keep it going.
The ERC electronic clock control drives most of this oven’s behavior. Because it manages the clock, the keypad and the oven’s checks on itself, a failing control can seem like several problems. An open temperature sensor can make the oven appear dead, a control alarm can shut everything down and a door lock alarm can stop a clean cycle. We test the sensor, the lock and the control, in that order.
Older Millennia parts are scarce, so the model and serial on the label go into a stock check before anything is ordered. You receive a written price first.

Error codes this model can show
Why does my MCS130 seem completely dead?
An open temperature sensor or a control alarm can make the oven stop working although the clock still lights. We test the sensor first because it is the least costly part.
Is the ERC clock control repairable?
Sometimes. We test the connections and solder joints, and we check whether a replacement control is available. We tell you if it is not worth the money.
What causes a door lock alarm?
The control did not confirm the lock moved. We test the lock motor and switch before suspecting the control. Let the oven cool before trying the door.
