What F0 means
On older Dacor wall ovens with the classic electronic range control, the Epicure ECS and ECD, Millennia MCS and MCD, and Preference PCS and PCD, such as the ECS130, MCS130S, PCD230 and MCD227, F0 means an input device is shorted or jammed. On the Millennia models, a touch pad is stuck in the pressed position. The oven beeps until you press CANCEL/SECURE. Plenty of Houston kitchens still have these older ovens, and repairing them is part of our work.
Common causes of F0
- A touch pad that is stuck or shorted
- Moisture or grime under the control panel
- A control board input that reads a pad as pressed
1. Press CANCEL/SECURE once to quiet the oven. 2. Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth if it is damp. 3. Know that the oven will not heat after this failure. 4. The owner's manual says to call a qualified appliance technician, and we can help.
- A stuck pad can be the panel itself or something inside it, and we cannot tell from the code alone.
- Older touch panels and boards can be scarce, so we confirm parts before the repair.
- We give a written price first, and we tell you plainly if a repair is not worth it.
Other Wall Oven codes
What does F0 mean on my older Dacor oven?
F0 means an input device is shorted or jammed. On Millennia models, it means a touch pad is stuck down. The oven beeps until CANCEL/SECURE is pressed.
Why will my oven not heat after F0?
After this kind of failure, the oven will not heat. The owner's manual says to call a qualified appliance technician. The control stops heating rather than risk running with a stuck pad.
Can an older oven with F0 be repaired?
Often yes. We test the panel and board, confirm that parts can be found, and quote the repair in writing. Our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Still seeing F0?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
