HIPR30
Dacor HIPR30 Induction Range Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Induction zone that stops heating or shuts off in use
- Bridge function that will not join two zones
- Pause key or touch controls that do not respond
- Cooling fan noise from the cooktop electronics
The Dacor HIPR30 is a 30-inch Heritage Induction Pro range with a 5.2 cubic foot oven. The cooktop has five induction zones, including a 9-inch center zone at 2,300 W, plus a bridge function that joins zones for large cookware and a Pause key. It needs a 240V, 50A circuit.
Induction ranges fail differently than gas or electric coil ranges. A zone that stops heating can come from the cookware, the power electronics, or heat protection, so we begin with magnetic cookware of the right size. A zone that stops heating can come from the cookware, the power electronics, or heat protection, so we begin with magnetic cookware. The bridge function and the touch controls depend on the control board. The cooling fan under the cooktop is another early check, since induction electronics shut down when they overheat.
The 50A connection deserves a look as well. We copy the model and serial from the data label. Our estimate is written before the work, and the repair has 30 days of workmanship coverage. If a part is scarce or the cost is out of proportion, we tell you before anything is ordered.

Error codes this model can show
My induction zone shuts off by itself. Why?
Overheating protection is the usual reason, and the cooling fan plays a part. We examine the fan, the airflow, and the cooktop electronics, and try magnetic cookware as well.
What is the bridge function?
It joins two induction zones so that large or oblong cookware heats evenly. If it will not join, we test each zone alone and then the control that links them.
Do I need special pans?
Yes. Induction needs magnetic cookware. A pan that does not work may simply not be magnetic, so we check that first before looking at the cooktop itself.
