The Dacor HGPR48S is a Heritage 48-inch gas range with six sealed burners, the strongest of them rated at 23,000 BTU, and a convection oven. It is made for natural gas and LP and can be adjusted for altitude. It is an older Heritage range and a large one, and it shares its family with the HGPR30S and HGPR36S.
A 23,000 BTU burner is a lot of burner, and when it misbehaves we look at it closely. Because high-output burners burn a lot of gas through sealed ports, a bit of residue makes a visible difference to the flame. We clean and test it. Convection adds a fan that can wear or collect debris, so we listen for noise, and the usual igniter and cap checks apply across the other five burners.

Why does my high-output burner light unevenly?
Sealed ports can collect residue that distorts the flame. We clean them carefully and test the spark and flame, then replace parts only if cleaning does not fix it.
What does it mean that the range is altitude adjustable?
The burner settings can be changed for installation at higher elevations. We confirm yours is set properly for where the range is installed, together with the fuel setup.
Does the HGPR48S have two ovens?
