Dacor’s EORS227 is a 27-inch double electric wall oven in the Epicure Classic line, with 3.4 cubic feet in each cavity and an electronic touch control. Its stainless version carries the EORS227SSCH suffix. It has six cooking modes and a RapidHeat bake element.
One detail changes how we diagnose it: Pure Convection is in the top oven only. If the lower oven bakes without a fan, that is the design of the model and not a repair. When convection is weak in the upper oven, we test the fan motor and the element behind it. For slow preheating, we measure the RapidHeat element and check the relay and sensor.

Why is there no convection in my lower oven?
On this model, Pure Convection is in the top oven only. The lower oven bakes with its elements and no fan, so a quiet lower cavity is normal for this number.
The touch control does not respond. What do we test?
We check the touch panel and its cable, then the control board. A dirty or damaged panel is sometimes the cause, and sometimes the board behind it is.
What does RapidHeat do?
It is the bake element on this model that is meant to heat the oven quickly. If preheating has become slow, we measure the element and the relay before replacing the sensor or board.
