From Dacor’s Discovery line, the EO127 is a single electric wall oven, 27 inches wide, with 3.7 cubic feet of Pure Convection capacity and a self-cleaning cavity. It is also sold as the EO127SCH. Discovery ovens are older now, and many are still baking in kitchens that have not been remodeled.

What stands out on this model is the 3000-watt dual ribbon broiler. Broiler ribbons run hot and are hard on the connections that feed them, so a broiler that glows on one side only or not at all is a classic reason to call. We also test the bake element, the Pure Convection fan and the temperature sensor, since slow preheating can have more than one cause.

The broiler on my EO127 only heats on one side. Why?

With a dual ribbon broiler, one ribbon can burn out or lose its connection while the other still works. We test each ribbon and its wiring before suggesting a replacement.

Does the EO127 self-clean?

Yes, it has a self-cleaning cavity. If the door will not unlock afterward, we check the latch and lock switch. Allow the oven to cool fully before trying the door.

How much oven space does it have?

This model lists 3.7 cubic feet with Pure Convection. That capacity does not change how we repair it, but it helps us confirm the right oven before ordering parts.
