Dacor DDWF24S Built-In Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- A water softener that needs salt or has a blockage
- Poor cleaning from hard water scale
- A drain problem
- A leak at the door
The Dacor DDWF24S is a 24-inch built-in dishwasher with a stainless interior and a built-in water softener. The softener is the feature that sets it apart for service, since it adds a salt reservoir and a path for water that ordinary dishwashers do not have.
We check the softener first when dishes come out cloudy or spotted. Hard water can leave scale if the softener is empty or the reservoir is blocked, so we look at the salt, the cap and the passages. After that we go through what we check on any built-in dishwasher: the drain pump and hose, the filter, the spray arms and the door seal. A stainless interior is easy to clean, but scale on it can point to a softener that is not working.
We repair this model and are honest about the cost. Parts are checked before we start. The label gives the exact number and serial, and we use those to order. You will have our estimate in writing beforehand, and the work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What does the built-in water softener do?
It treats incoming water to reduce hardness, which helps prevent scale on dishes and the stainless interior. It needs its salt supply kept up, and we check it when dishes are cloudy.
Why are my dishes cloudy?
Hard water scale can be a reason, especially if the softener is out of salt. We check the salt, the reservoir and the water passages, and we advise on the right settings.
Can you repair a dishwasher with a softener?
Yes. We test the softener along with the pump, filter and seals. We explain what we find and give you a written price before we replace any part.
