Microwave Repair in Houston
We repair Dacor built-in microwaves, including older models. If it will not heat, sparks, shows a code or has a door problem, we check the door, controls and cooking parts, and tell you what we find.
Common microwave problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Display lights up but food stays cold
Door does not latch or close fully
Turntable turns unevenly or stops
Buzzing or humming louder than before
Sparks or arcing inside the cavity
Controls ignore button presses
Dacor microwaves are built in to cabinetry and finished to match a Dacor oven or cooktop nearby. Current and older models share the same parts: a door with switches and a latch, a control board, a fan and the cooking circuit. When one of these wears, a microwave may stop heating, refuse to start or make a new noise.
Humid Houston air can reach the control board and door switches over the years, and grease from nearby cooking can build up on vents and filters. A door that is opened many times a day also wears its latch and hinges faster than most people expect.
We check the door, the latch, the controls and the cooking circuit. Because of the high voltage inside, we do not suggest do-it-yourself fixes. If a unit is older and out of warranty, we say honestly when a repair is not worth it.

A written price, approved by you before any work starts.
A 30-day workmanship warranty on every repair.
Should I keep using a microwave that arcs?
No. Stop using it and switch off its circuit. Sparking can come from a damaged interior surface, a food shield or metal inside. Tell us what you saw, and we will inspect it.
Why does my microwave turn on but not heat?
The cooking parts are separate from the fan, light and display, so those can work while heating does not. We test the cooking circuit with care, because it holds a high charge. Do not open the cabinet yourself.
Is repairing an older microwave worth it?
Sometimes. We explain the repair steps and put the cost in writing before work. When the unit is old and the part costs a lot, replacement may serve you better, and we say so.
