The Dacor DCM24S is a 24-inch countertop convection microwave with a 1.5 cubic foot oven and 900 watts of microwave power. It also bakes with convection, and an optional ACTK trim kit gives it a built-in look. It is a current model.
Two systems share one cavity here, and they fail separately. When food does not heat, we separate the microwave side from the convection side: if the microwave heats but baking does not, the convection heater or its fan is the place to look, and if neither heats, we test the microwave’s power parts and the door switches. A turntable that does not turn is usually the motor or its coupling. When the display shows an error on a sensor program, we check the sensor and the door.

My DCM24S microwaves but will not bake. What is wrong?
The microwave and convection systems are separate. If microwave heating works and baking does not, the convection heater, its fan or its control is the cause, and we test those.
What does the ACTK trim kit do?
It gives the countertop microwave a built-in look. The microwave still needs the clearances for airflow, so we check the installation if it overheats or shuts off.
Why does the turntable not spin?
A worn motor, a damaged coupling or a roller ring out of place can stop it. We check each, and a turntable that does not turn can also affect even heating.
