The Dacor ED24 is a 24-inch Epicure dishwasher, long discontinued. While a cycle is going, a blue in-process light shines on the floor below the door, so you can tell from across the kitchen that a cycle is under way. It was also sold as the ED24SCH and the ED24SBC.
That light is the detail owners notice first. If it never comes on, you may think the dishwasher is not running when it is, or you may think it is running when it has stopped. We check the light and its wiring, then the door switch, since the light and the cycle both depend on the door being latched.
