RNWO230
Dacor Renaissance RNWO230 Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Lower oven that does not heat while the upper works
- Cooling fan noise
- Upper door gasket wear
- Latch and lock condition
Dacor’s RNWO230 is a 30-inch double Renaissance wall oven, no longer sold by Dacor. Suffix versions include RNWO230ES and RNWO230PS. It has upper and lower self-cleaning cavities, and many are still running in older kitchens.
When the lower oven fails to heat while the upper works, we know the shared control is probably fine, so we go to the lower bake element, its relay and its sensor. A cooling fan that grows noisy is another common call. The upper door gasket tends to wear because that door opens at eye level and sees constant use, so we check its seal.
Parts for Renaissance doubles are limited, and we confirm availability before we order. The label’s model and serial go in the lookup, and we give you a written price.

Error codes this model can show
Why is my RNWO230 lower oven cold?
The lower bake element, relay or sensor has probably failed. Since the upper oven works, we know power and the control are likely sound, which shortens the diagnosis.
Is a noisy cooling fan a problem?
A fan that hums while it cools the oven is normal, but grinding or squealing is not. It can mean a worn bearing, and we replace the fan before it seizes and leaves the controls running hot.
Can the upper door gasket be replaced?
Yes. A worn gasket lets heat escape and makes the oven work harder to hold its temperature. Replacing it is usually straightforward if the part is available, and we check the door seal along its whole length.
