ECS127
Dacor Epicure ECS127 Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Convection fan and third element during Pure Convection
- Bake element and temperature sensor accuracy
- Control panel response after a power interruption
- Door gasket condition and oven light
Dacor’s ECS127 is a single electric wall oven, 27 inches wide, from the Epicure line and sold as a Classic Wall Oven. A single 27-inch oven tends to sit in a built-in tower or above a cooktop in an older home, so we usually start by looking at how it was installed and how much clearance the door has.
The model lists a Pure Convection mode, which adds a third heating element and a fan. That gives us three things to separate when a roast cooks slowly: the bake element, the convection element and the fan motor. A temperature sensor that has drifted can also make an oven seem weak without any part being broken.
Because Epicure ovens are older, certain parts have become scarce. We confirm a part exists before the repair begins, match it to the number on the data label and put the price in writing.

Does the ECS127 have a convection fan?
Yes. It lists Pure Convection, which uses a third heating element and a fan. When the oven cooks unevenly, we test the fan motor and that element along with the main bake element.
The oven takes a long time to preheat. What is likely?
A tired bake element or a sensor that reads cool are the usual suspects. We measure the element and compare the oven's reading with a probe before replacing anything.
Can I still use the cookie sheets that came with it?
This model accepts ACS273, ACS303 and ACS363 cookie sheets, and they are not part of the repair. If a sheet warps or rattles the rack, we can check rack fit during the visit.
