Dacor DTT48T960G Gas Rangetop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- A spark module that quits on several burners
- Burner switches that stick
- Heat discoloration on the backguard
- A burner that sparks without lighting
The Dacor DTT48T960G is a Transitional gas rangetop, 48 inches wide, whose burners come in three sizes: 22,000, 16,000 and 9,000 BTU. Both the DTT48T960GS and the DTT48T960GM are made for natural gas or for LP, and a 120V, 15A supply provides the ignition power.
On a rangetop this wide, the spark module is the part that ties many of the burners together, so when several burners stop sparking at once, it is the first place we look. If a single burner fails, we look at its cap, igniter and switch. A switch that sticks is tested for how it turns and whether it springs back to off.
Discoloration on the backguard comes from heat and is usually cosmetic, though we mention it if a missing part or a burner out of position is making it worse. For the spark module or a switch, the label’s number and serial decide the order. We put the price in writing first. Our 30-day workmanship warranty stands behind the repair.

Error codes this model can show
Why do several burners stop sparking at once?
When more than one burner stops sparking, the shared spark module or its power supply is more likely than the individual igniters. We check the 120V supply first, then the module.
Is a discolored backguard a problem?
Usually not. Heat can change the color of the metal behind the burners. We check that the burners are seated and that nothing is making the heat worse, then advise on cleaning.
What do the S and M mean at the end of the number?
They are finish letters, S for silver stainless and M for graphite. They matter for trim parts, so the label comes first when we order a part.
