What 4C means

4C on Dacor Modernist and Contemporary dishwashers such as the DDW24M999US, DDW24M999UM, DDW24T998US and DDW24T999BB tells you to check the water supply. The dishwasher is not getting water the way it should, because the supply valve is closed, the supply to the home is suspended, or the inlet valve or fill line is frozen or clogged. The cycle stops, and you may find the tub empty or only partly filled.

Why does my dishwasher show 4C but my faucet works?

The faucet draws from a different line. The dishwasher's own supply valve may be closed, the fill hose pinched, or the inlet valve clogged. Those are the first things the owner's manual says to check.

Could a clogged inlet valve cause 4C?

Yes. Minerals and sediment can plug the inlet valve or its screen, so water trickles or does not flow. We inspect it during the visit and clean or replace it if needed.

Is 4C urgent?
