HDCT365
Dacor HDCT365 Heritage Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Igniters that fail and stop sparking
- Burner caps that do not align properly
- Knobs that wear loose on their stems
- A flame that does not suit the gas version installed
The Dacor HDCT365 is a 36-inch Heritage Dual Cooktop, no longer in production. Add GS to the number and you have the HDCT365GS, and buyers could choose a version for natural gas, for LP or for high altitude. A wider cooktop like this has more burners to keep tuned than the 30-inch size.
Alignment is where we begin on the HDCT365. A burner cap that is slightly off can bend the flame and keep the igniter from reaching it, so we reseat each one and look at the flame. After that we test the igniters and look at the knobs, because a knob that has worn loose on its stem may not turn the valve all the way. The high-altitude version needs particular attention, since its burners are set differently from the standard ones.
Many Heritage cooktops are still in service and worth keeping when the repair is minor, and when it is not, we say so. Suffixes decide which parts fit, so the label is our first stop. We write the quote before starting. A 30-day workmanship warranty then covers the repair.

What is the difference between the HDCT365 and the HDCT365GS?
GS is a suffix added to the same cooktop and usually marks a finish or revision. Some parts depend on it, which is why the complete number on the label guides every order.
Why does the high-altitude version matter?
The high-altitude version has burners set for thinner air, so it is not adjusted like a standard one. We confirm which version you own before changing any burner setting.
Is a loose knob on my Heritage cooktop a problem?
It can be. A knob that no longer grips its stem may stop short of the valve's full travel. We check how the knob fits and whether the valve itself is turning properly.
