DTCT365G
Dacor DTCT365G Sealed-Burner Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Igniters that wear out and stop sparking
- Burner caps that warp and no longer seat
- Knob markings that fade from cleaning and heat
- Flames that lift or burn unevenly on one burner
The Dacor DTCT365G is a 36-inch Distinctive gas cooktop with sealed burners. Sealed burners keep spills on the top surface, which makes cleaning easier but means that a burner cap that is warped or set slightly off can change how the flame looks and how well the igniter reaches it.
That is where we begin on this cooktop. We lift each cap and base, clean the ports, check that the igniter is clear and sparking, and look at how the flame sits on each burner. Faded knob markings are a cosmetic matter, but we also feel whether a knob has loosened on its stem, since a loose knob can hide a valve that is not turning fully.
The DTCT365G is out of production and is an older model for many owners. We repair it and tell you plainly when a repair is not worth it. Before ordering any part we confirm the full number and serial from the label, because some older parts are scarce. You receive a written price first and a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What are sealed burners on the DTCT365G?
Sealed burners have a closed base that keeps spills from running into the cabinet below. They need the cap and base seated correctly, so we check that first whenever a flame looks uneven.
Why would a burner cap warp?
Heat from the burner can bend a cap over time, and a bent cap sits unevenly. That changes the flame and can stop the igniter from lighting it. We check the fit and tell you if a replacement cap is available.
The knob markings on my cooktop have worn off. Is that a problem?
Mostly it is cosmetic, but it can make it hard to see where low and high are. We check that each knob still grips its stem and that the valve turns smoothly through its whole travel.
