RNRP30G

Dacor RNRP30G Renaissance Pro Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Oven igniter that glows too slowly
  2. Burner that sparks without catching
  3. Burner orifices set for the wrong gas
  4. Oven that wanders from its set temperature

The Dacor RNRP30G is a discontinued Renaissance Pro gas range, 30 inches wide, with an all-gas oven. It is sold as the RNRP30GS and in the RNRP30GSNG and RNRP30GSLP versions for natural gas and liquid propane.

On an all-gas Renaissance, the igniter is the part that ages. A slow oven or a clicking burner usually means a weakened igniter or residue near it. We test the spark, the gas flow, and the burner cap seating. The NG and LP versions are set up differently, so we confirm that the range matches the supply. If the oven temperature drifts, we test the sensor and the control.

These ranges are no longer made, and some parts are scarce. We see whether a part can be found before repairing and tell you honestly if the cost is not justified. Before repairing, we check that a part can be found and say frankly if the cost cannot be justified. The data label separates the three versions. The price comes in writing first, and the workmanship is covered for 30 days. If you smell gas, go outside and call your gas utility.

RNRP30GRNRP30G questions
What do NG and LP mean in RNRP30GSNG and RNRP30GSLP?

NG means natural gas and LP means liquid propane. The range has to match the fuel that is connected, and the label tells us before any part is replaced.

My oven takes a long time to light. Can it be repaired?

Usually. A weak igniter is the common reason an oven lights slowly, and the part is often available. We test it and the gas flow, then quote the repair in writing.

Is the RNRP30G still repairable if it is discontinued?

Yes, if parts can be found. We check that before starting and tell you honestly when the repair is not worth it, so the decision always stays with you.
