What C-d1 means
Code C-d1 tells you the door lock on a DOP48T960GS, a DOP48C96DLS or a DOP30T940IS induction range is not working properly or sits in the wrong position. The control expects the lock to be locked or unlocked at certain times and does not see that. You see C-d1 on the display, and the oven may not start a cycle that needs the door locked.
Common causes of C-d1
- The door lock mechanism
- The switch that reports the lock position
- The control and wiring for the lock
1. Set the knob to Off first, then try the range once more. 2. Check that the door is fully closed and nothing is caught in it. Do not force the latch. 3. If C-d1 returns, cut the breaker power to the range for at least 30 seconds and restore it. 4. If the code stays, contact us to book a technician visit.
- The lock motor, the position switch and the control all take part, so we test them in order instead of guessing.
- If the door is stuck shut, tell us when you book so we plan for it.
- We hand you a written price up front, and we warrant our workmanship for 30 days.
Other Range codes
What is wrong when C-d1 shows?
The door lock is malfunctioning or sits in the wrong position. The control cannot confirm the lock state, so it posts the code and may block some cycles.
Can I open the oven door with C-d1 showing?
Often yes once the oven is off and cool, but do not force it. If the door will not move, wait and call us.
Will a restart clear C-d1?
Sometimes. If the lock is truly mispositioned, the code returns, and we test the lock.
Still seeing C-d1?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
