Dacor DOP48T963D Steam Griddle Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Embedded griddle that heats unevenly
- Steam function that stops early or does not start
- Small oven that heats poorly
- Burners that click or light late near the griddle
The Dacor DOP48T963D is a 48-inch Transitional range: dual-fuel, with steam cooking and a griddle set into the cooktop. The large oven is 6.4 cu. ft., the small oven is 2.4 cu. ft., and six burners reach from 9,000 BTU up to 22,000 BTU. It is wired for a 240V, 50A circuit.
This is the most feature-packed range in its family, and that shapes how we work. We take the cooktop first, testing the griddle and the burners, then the two ovens, then steam. A griddle that heats unevenly points to its element or control, while a burner that clicks without lighting near it may have residue on the igniter. For steam, we look at how the water path fills and drains.
The DOP48T960D and DOP48T963D share a size and a look, so the data label tells us exactly which range we have, and that keeps us from ordering a part that does not fit. If the repair would not be worth the cost, you hear that from us first. The quote is written before work, and workmanship is covered for 30 days.

How do you test an embedded griddle?
We check whether it heats at all, whether the heat is even, and whether the control responds. Then we test the element and the wiring before recommending a part.
Is the DOP48T963D different from the DOP48T960D?
They share a size and a family, but this one adds an embedded griddle to the cooktop. Parts can differ, so the label on your range is what we order by.
Do you handle the whole range in one visit?
We diagnose every section in one visit and fix what we can with the parts available. Anything that needs ordering is scheduled with a written price.
