Dacor HIPR30S Induction Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Induction zone that cuts out while cooking
  2. Oven mode that does not heat as selected
  3. Touch controls that stop responding
  4. Cooling fan noise from under the cooktop

The Dacor HIPR30S is a 30-inch electric induction range from the Heritage Induction Pro family. Its oven offers bake, broil, and convection modes. It shares its family with the HIPR36S, and the S on the end of its number is part of the model we read from the label.

An induction range is two appliances in one box. On the cooktop, a zone that cuts out while cooking sends us to the cookware, the zone’s power electronics, and the cooling fan. In the oven, we check each mode on its own: bake and broil use different heating parts, and convection adds a fan, so a mode that does not heat as selected tells us where to look. Touch controls that stop responding can be a control board problem, or something as simple as moisture on the panel.

Since it is an older range, some parts may be hard to find, and we confirm availability before a repair. If the repair is not worth the cost, we say so. We read the data label to match the exact model. The price is put in writing first, and workmanship is warranted for 30 days.

HIPR30SHIPR30S questions
One oven mode does not work but the others do. What is wrong?

Bake, broil, and convection use different parts. If only one fails, we test that mode's heating part and its control path, which is usually a smaller repair.

Can moisture affect the touch controls?

Yes. Water or steam on the panel can make touch controls act up. We dry the panel and test it carefully before suggesting a replacement part.

What is the difference between the HIPR30S and HIPR36S?

They are related induction ranges of different widths. Parts do not always interchange, so we read your label and order parts for your exact model.
