The Dacor PCOR30S is a 30-inch over-the-range convection microwave with 1.1 cubic feet of space. It combines a microwave, a convection oven and a vent hood in one unit and has sensor cooking. The PCOR30B and PCOR30R are other versions of the same number. It is a current model.
Three jobs in one unit means three sets of checks. If the vent fan does not turn, we look at the fan motor and its switch before anything else. If the hood lamp is out, a bulb is the usual cause, and a socket is the next place to look. If the microwave does not heat, the power parts and door switches are tested, and if convection does not heat, the convection heater and its fan are checked. Why does the vent fan not work on my PCOR30S?
The fan motor, its switch or a connection may have failed, or the filter may be so clogged that the fan struggles. We check the filter and then test the motor and switch.
What does a weight message mean?
On a sensor or convection program, it means the microwave sees a weight that is too large or too small for the program. We check the entry and the sensor before we replace anything.
Does grease affect this unit?
Yes. Being above the cooktop, it collects grease in the filters and vent. A clogged filter hurts the fan, so we check and clean the filters during the visit.
