HWDF30S
Dacor HWDF30S Heritage Warming Drawer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Heating
- Thermostat
- Drawer closing
- Control and sensor response
The HWDF30S is a 30-inch electric warming drawer from Dacor’s Heritage line. The 30-inch width comes from the number itself, and the model belongs to the same family as the 24-inch and 27-inch Heritage drawers. Warming drawers like this are usually installed under a wall oven.
Because several Heritage drawers have almost the same number, we confirm the full model and serial from the label before we order anything. A letter difference can mean a different version. For a drawer that is not heating, we test the supply, the control, the thermostat and the element in order. For a drawer that does not close all the way, we check the slides and the latch, since a drawer left open loses heat.
We tell you plainly when an older drawer is not worth repairing. Part availability is confirmed first, and the price is in writing before the work starts. Each repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

How do you know which Heritage drawer I have?
We read the complete model number from the label. Several Heritage drawers have similar numbers, and the letters can change which part fits, so we do not order from the short number alone.
The drawer is warm but not hot enough. Why?
The thermostat may have drifted, or the element may be weak. We test the thermostat against a thermometer and then the element, and replace only the part that proves weak.
The drawer will not close completely. Does that affect heating?
Yes, because heat escapes through the gap. We check the slides, the latch and anything catching, then adjust or replace what is worn, and test the drawer again.
