What Blinking lights means
On Dacor warming drawers such as the DWR30U900WP and DWR30M977WS, the indicator lights blink half a second on and half a second off. That pattern means the control computer detected an error, and four types are listed: temperature, sensor, key pad and control. The same pattern also appears for simpler reasons: the drawer is not seated on its slides, it holds more than 50 pounds, or it has not been preheated. Older Heritage warming drawers are also repaired by us.
Common causes of Blinking lights
- The drawer is not mounted correctly on its slides
- The drawer is overloaded past 50 pounds
- The drawer has not been preheated
- A temperature or sensor problem reported by the control
- A key pad or control board problem
1. Pull the drawer out, check that it is seated on its slides, and take out any load over 50 pounds. 2. Disconnect the power cord, wait 20 seconds, then reconnect it. 3. Check the control panel once the drawer has had time to preheat. 4. If the light still flashes, call us.
- Blinking covers both easy causes, like a drawer sitting off its slides, and real control errors, so the lights alone do not say which one you have.
- If the drawer is seated and the load is light, we test the temperature sensing, the key pad and the control to find the cause.
- You receive a written price before we start, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Why are the lights blinking on my Dacor warming drawer?
Blinking at half-second intervals means the control detected an error, such as a temperature, sensor, key pad or control problem. It also blinks when the drawer is off its slides, overloaded, or not preheated.
What can I try before calling?
Check that the drawer sits properly on its slides and holds under 50 pounds. Then unplug the power cord, wait 20 seconds and plug it back in, and look at the control panel again.
The lights still blink after unplugging. What next?
Then the control may have a real error. Call us or fill out the online form to schedule service; we test the sensing and the control and give you a written price before work.
