The DRW24980 is a current 24-inch full-height wine column that holds up to 100 bottles. It has three independently cooled zones, a triple-layer argon-filled glass door and four humidity sensors that keep humidity between 50 and 80 percent. It comes with a left or right hinge and takes RAW24 door kits.
Three zones mean three temperatures to keep right, and we check them one at a time with a thermometer. When a zone will not hold its setting, we test the zone’s sensor, the airflow into it and the control. A display reading oF tells us the cooling has been switched off by Cooling Off mode, so we confirm that before anything else. If the humidity reading is out of range, we test the humidity sensors and the door seal.
The label inside gives us the model and serial. You approve a written price first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.

Error codes this model can show
One zone in my wine column is warmer than the others. Why?
Each zone has its own sensor and airflow. We measure all three zones, then test the sensor, airflow and control for the one that is off.
The display shows oF and the wine is warming. What now?
oF means Cooling Off mode, which turns off the cooling on purpose. Switch it back to normal operation and the unit should cool; if it does not, we test the cooling system.
Why does the humidity matter for wine?
This column is built to keep humidity between 50 and 80 percent, so a reading outside that range is worth a visit. We check the humidity sensors and the door seal to find out why.
