What oF means
On the Dacor Heritage 24-inch wine column, models DRW24980LAP and DRW24980RAP, an indicator showing oF means the unit is in Cooling Off mode, also called Demo mode. The fan and the lights work, but the compressors do not run, so the wine is not being kept cool. It is a setting made for showrooms, not a failed part. If your wine column feels warm, check this indicator before anything else, since the cabinet stays on and looks normal.
Common causes of oF
- Demo mode was switched on by holding the control keys
- The unit was left in showroom mode after installation
- The keys are not registering when you try to exit
1. Press and hold Cabinet Light, Presenter Light and Lock together for 5 seconds. 2. Check that oF disappears from the indicator. 3. Give the cabinet time to cool, and move bottles to another cool place if it was warm for long. 4. If oF stays on, call us.
- If oF will not clear after holding the three keys, a key or the control may not be registering them.
- We check the keys and the control, then confirm the compressors start and the cabinet cools.
- Heritage wine columns are older units we repair, and we give a written price before work.
Other Wine Column codes
Why does my Dacor wine column show oF and stay warm?
oF means Cooling Off mode, also called Demo mode. The fan and lights run but the compressors do not, so the wine is not being cooled until the mode is turned off.
How do I get out of Demo mode?
Hold Cabinet Light, Presenter Light and Lock for 5 seconds. The oF indicator should go out, and the compressors should start so the cabinet begins to cool.
What if oF will not go away?
Then a key or the control may not be registering. We check them and the compressors, give you a written price before work, and back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Still unsure about oF?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
