Dacor HWD24PS Heritage Drawer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Heating
- Control response
- Drawer slide movement
- Error blinking
The HWD24PS is a 24-inch electric warming drawer from Dacor’s Heritage line. The 24-inch width comes from the number itself, and it is the smallest drawer in the Heritage family, which also includes 27-inch and 30-inch versions. It is usually installed beneath a wall oven or another built-in appliance.
On a drawer like this we begin with the simplest question: is it getting power? Then we test the control, the thermostat and the heating element. If the lights blink to signal a problem, we read the pattern and test the part it points to. The narrower drawer carries less weight, but its slides still wear, and a drawer that drags is adjusted or has its rollers replaced.
The label gives us the exact model and serial number for ordering parts. We confirm part availability before work and give a written price first. If a repair is not worth it, we tell you so. Repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What size is the HWD24PS?
The number shows it is a 24-inch drawer, the narrowest of the Heritage warming drawers, which are also made in 27 and 30 inches. Other parts, such as the drawer front, may differ by width.
The lights blink and the drawer does not heat. What does that mean?
The drawer is reporting a problem. We note the blink pattern, test the part it points to, and confirm the heating parts before replacing anything.
Does a small warming drawer need different parts?
It can. The width changes some parts, so we confirm the exact number on your label before we order a part, and we check that it is in stock.
