On the current Dacor Microwave-In-A-Drawer models, such as the DMR24M977WS and DMR30M977WS, ERROR on the display usually points to something entered, not a broken part. It appears when the clock time was entered incorrectly. It also appears when a sensor program does not detect vapor from the food, and the microwave then turns itself off. Other entry mistakes show a general error message instead.
Common causes of ERROR
- A clock time entered in a way the control does not accept
- A sensor program used on food that gives off too little vapor
- A keypad entry that was interrupted or mistyped
1. Touch STOP/CLEAR. 2. Enter the setting again, slowly and in order. 3. If you used a sensor program, check that the food is not covered tightly and is not very cold or very small. 4. If the message returns with a correct entry, stop using the drawer and call us.
- If ERROR returns on a correctly entered setting, the problem may be in the control or the sensor, and only testing shows which.
