The Dacor OBSB162 is a built-in outdoor gas grill from the Epicure line, grouped with the OB36, OBS36, OB52 and OBS52. It lights with electronic ignition and also has a manual light hole for when the ignition does not work, and it has a grease tray beneath the burners.
Both ways of lighting the grill tell us something. If the electronic ignition clicks but the burner does not light, then lighting it through the manual hole shows whether the gas reaches the burner and whether the ignition alone is at issue. We also look at the grease tray, because built-up grease is a common cause of flare-ups and uneven flames, and we look at the burner ports for the same reason.

What is the manual light hole for?
It lets you light the burner with a match or lighter if the electronic ignition does not work. Do it carefully with the lid open. Tell us if you need it, because the ignition needs repair.
