The Dacor RNHE36 is a 36-inch Renaissance wall-mount hood, out of production but still hanging over many Houston ranges. It has two siblings, the RNHE30 and RNHE48, and the RNHE3612 and RNHE3618 numbers belong to the same 36-inch family.
On this Renaissance hood, the complaints we hear most are about the controls and the filter hardware. When the fan speeds do not change, we test the switch and the wiring before the blower. Lights that flicker point us to the sockets and connections. Broken filter clips are an easy thing to overlook, but a filter that is not held firmly will rattle and can let grease reach the fan.
