Dacor’s Epicure line includes the EHR30, a wall-mount range hood from the EHR series, 30 inches wide. It has 75-watt halogen lights and metal grease filters. The EHR prefix is not the same as EH, and we match parts by the full number on the label so a part meant for a neighbor does not get ordered.
On a hood this small, we think first about heat and grease. The lights run hot in a short canopy, so sockets and wires can darken, and the filters collect a film that dims the draw. We check the lights, then the filters, then the blower’s speeds and noise. The wall mounting is last, and it is a quick check.

What is the difference between EH30 and EHR30?
They are separate series in the Epicure line. Some parts match between them, but not all, so we confirm by the full number on your label before ordering anything for your hood.
Why are the halogen lights in my EHR30 so hot?
They are 75-watt halogen lights, and a short canopy holds the heat they give off. If the sockets look browned or the wires feel stiff, we replace them and check the rest of the wiring.
My filters look clean but the draw is weak. What else?
The blower speed, a restricted duct or a damper that sticks can all matter even when the filters are clean. We check each of them in turn and measure what the hood moves.
