EH30
Dacor Epicure EH30 Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Halogen lights and sockets that overheat
- Grease filters
- Blower noise
- Wall mounting
The EH30 is a 30-inch wall-mount range hood from Dacor’s Epicure line. It is an older hood, and versions include the EH3012 and EH3018. It uses 75-watt halogen lights and metal grease filters, and we repair Epicure hoods when the owner would rather keep the one on the wall.
The halogen lights are the first thing we look at, since 75 watts of halogen heat builds up in a small canopy. Sockets can brown, wires can turn brittle, and the lights then flicker or go out. The metal filters come next, because grease stuck on them lowers airflow. Blower noise and the wall mount round out our checks.
Epicure parts are scarce in places. We read the model from the label and check availability before ordering, and you approve a written price first.

Why do the halogen lights in my EH30 keep burning out?
Halogen runs hot, and a small canopy holds the heat. A loose or browned socket can shorten bulb life. We replace the socket and check the wiring.
Can the metal filters be cleaned?
Yes, metal grease filters can be cleaned, and regular cleaning keeps the draw strong. We show you how during the visit, and we replace any filter that is bent, dented or worn through.
What do EH3012 and EH3018 mean?
They are versions of the EH30. The digits on the end point to a variation, and we read the full number from the label before ordering parts so the part matches your hood.
