DHI361
Dacor Millennia DHI361 Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Blower noise
- Worn controls
- Damaged grease filters
- Ceiling mount and chimney fit
The DHI361 is a 36-inch island hood for ceiling mounting, from the Millennia series. It is discontinued, and wider versions exist as the DHI421, DHI482, DHI542 and DHI602. Millennia hoods are older now, and we repair them wherever the cooktop still works.
Time shows up in three places on a hood like this. The blower gets noisy as its bearings wear. The controls wear out from years of use, so switches can feel loose or stop responding. The grease filters get dented or bent, which affects how they seat and how well they catch grease. We check all three and then the ceiling mount.
Some parts for Millennia hoods are scarce. We use the label to confirm the model and see what exists, and we tell you before you pay for anything. A written price comes first.

Why is the blower on my DHI361 so noisy?
Years of use wear the bearings and unbalance the wheel. We check both, along with the mounting and the duct joints, before recommending a new blower, because a simple adjustment sometimes quiets an old hood.
Can worn controls be replaced?
Often yes, if a matching switch or panel is available for your model. We check availability first, explain what the part will cost and what the work adds, and order only after you agree to the written price.
Are the filters for an older island hood available?
Sometimes. We look for a matching filter by model number, and if none exists, we talk through whether a cleaned or straightened filter will do, or whether the hood is better kept in service with what it has.
